A Gorge local's attempt to make finding good help a little easier.
How It Started
A few years ago, I co-founded a small landscaping business here in the Gorge. Life has a way of changing plans, and with our growing family and another full time job we couldn't find a way to keep up with the service side of things.
What surprised me was how well my marketing worked. The demand we generated outpaced what we could actually take on, and we had to turn people away. That felt like a waste — but it also got me thinking.
If a small local business could generate more work than it could handle just from decent marketing, what about all the skilled tradespeople across the Gorge who are great at what they do but have never had to think about being found online?
Most service workers aren't interested in maintaining websites, or building up their marketing — they're in it because they're good with their hands and take pride in doing the job right. And because of that, local residents struggle to find great help that's right around the corner.
That's what led me to start Gorge Trusted, a simple resource to help local service businesses thrive, and help neighbors find the help they need.
